Building Towards Golf in the Garden in 2024

Dec. 20, 2023 — One year ago, construction of the redesigned 18-hole course was getting underway, and demolition of old structures had begun in anticipation of an all-new clubhouse complex.

One year later, we’re reflecting on the progress of the renovation up to this point and looking ahead with excitement to 2024. To ensure the 18-hole course provides best conditions for play on day one and in the years to come, the course will reopen in the summer.

An exceptional new golf experience began to take shape in 2023. Here are some of the highlights:

  • We moved forward with a major redesign of the 18-hole Championship Course. The redesign will continue into 2024, with turfgrass getting established on fairways and greens and continuing work on ponds and support facilities. See how it looks from the air.
  • Created with member feedback to improve the experience on the 18-hole course, three new Shamrock Shack comfort stations are being built at strategic locations.
  • Practice facilities are coming to fruition, including a practice range and grass range tee that are substantially larger than their predecessors. Other practice options: a new putting green/putting course and a short game practice area.
  • We unveiled plans for the new Clover 9-hole course, on the old North Course land once slated for residential development. This course will be fun, fair, and accessible for all golfers. Construction of the Clover is planned for the start of the year.

We’re so grateful for your continued interest and support as we close out the first full year of this multi-phase project to reimagine and renovate the Killearn Club.

Plans for new membership tiers in 2024

We’re excited to share that three new membership tiers will be available in 2024. In the coming months, we’ll publish details about new club and golfing options.

Sincerely,
The Killearn Club team
